3D Print Quest Privacy Policy

Last updated October 23, 2026

About this policy

3D Print Quest collects only what it needs to run lessons, and never sells student information or shows ads. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and how to have information deleted.

3D Print Quest is a service of STEMstarters LLC ("we", "us"), a North Carolina limited liability company. It covers the 3D Print Quest app at app.stemstarters.com and its waitlist page.

What we collect

Students never create accounts, and we never ask for a student's email, password, birthday, photo or last name.

The app saves a small note in the browser so a student's device remembers which class and name they picked. It is cleared when the student taps Log out. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use information

We use information only to provide 3D Print Quest: running classes, showing progress, sharing turned-in designs with the teacher, managing memberships, answering support requests, and keeping the service secure.

We will never:

We may use totals that identify no one, such as how many lessons were completed this month, to improve the lessons.

Schools, parents and children's privacy

Schools (FERPA). When a school or teacher uses 3D Print Quest, the student information they enter stays under the school's control. We act as a "school official" with a legitimate educational interest: we use the information only to provide the service and do not share it further. Schools can ask us to sign a data privacy agreement, such as the Student Data Privacy Consortium's National Data Privacy Agreement, at hello@stemstarters.com.

Children under 13 (COPPA). In a school, the school gives consent on parents' behalf for this educational use. Parents may ask the school to review or delete their child's information, and the school can ask us to do so.

Homeschool families and clubs. When a parent or club leader creates a class outside a school, they give consent for the children they add and can view or delete that information at any time.

North Carolina. We follow North Carolina's Student Online Protection Act: no targeted ads, no student profiles beyond school purposes, no selling student information, and deletion within 45 days when a school asks.
