3D Print Quest Terms of Service

Agreement

By creating an account or using 3D Print Quest, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. 3D Print Quest is a service of STEMstarters LLC ("we", "us"), a North Carolina limited liability company.

Accounts are for adults: teachers, school staff, homeschool parents and club leaders. Students use the app only through a class an adult creates.

Accounts and licenses

One membership is for one teacher, who may create unlimited classes for the students they personally teach.

• Don't share your login. Each teacher who uses 3D Print Quest needs their own membership or a seat on a school license.
• Fair use. Unlimited classes means your own teaching load. We may contact accounts with unusually high use (for example, more than 40 classes or 1,000 students) to confirm they fit one teacher, and may suggest a school license.
• School licenses cover up to 5 teachers at one school for one year, with more seats available at $149 each. The school names the teachers who get seats.
• Homeschool families and clubs use a regular membership for the children in their care.
• Keep your password private, and tell us right away at admin@stemstarters.com if you think your account was used without permission.

Plans, billing and cancellation

Memberships renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime from Manage membership in the app.

• Payments are processed by Stripe. We email a receipt for each charge.
• Cancelling stops future charges. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds: Yearly plans can be refunded in full within 14 days of the first charge. Monthly charges and renewals are not refunded.
• Price changes apply at your next renewal, and we'll email you at least 30 days before.
• After your membership ends, your classes stay saved so you can come back, but any class with no activity for 100 days is deleted automatically. Students can't open lessons while the membership is inactive.
• Schools can pay by purchase order or invoice: email admin@stemstarters.com.

Student information and your responsibilities

You control the student information you add, and we handle it only as our Privacy Policy describes.

When you create a class, you agree to:

• Enter students by first name or nickname only, with no last names, emails or other personal details
• Have the permission needed to use the app with your students: your school's approval for a school class, or your own consent as the parent or club leader
• Keep class codes within your class, and make a new class code if a code is shared publicly
• Delete students and classes you no longer need

When a school uses 3D Print Quest, we act as a school official under FERPA, and we'll sign a reasonable data privacy agreement on request.

Our content, your content, and acceptable use

The lessons, step photos, videos, badge designs and chip files belong to STEMstarters LLC. Your membership lets you use them with your own students.

• You may: show lessons to your students, print Builder Badge chips for students who earn them, and post the class code poster in your room.
• You may not: copy, resell, re-upload or share the lessons, step photos or chip files outside your classes, or share your login.
• Student designs stay the student's work. We store them only so you can review and print them, then delete them.
• Don't use the service to upload anything harmful or unlawful, try to access other people's classes, or disrupt the app.

We may suspend accounts that break these terms. We'll tell you why and, where we can, give you a chance to fix it first.

Changes, warranty and the legal basics

• Changes to the service. We add and improve lessons over time and may change features. If we remove something central to your plan, we'll tell you in advance.
• Changes to these terms. We'll email you at least 30 days before an important change takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept it.
• No warranty. 3D Print Quest is provided "as is". We work to keep it running, but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. 3D printers and their parts get hot, so supervise students around printers.
• Limit of liability. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
• Governing law. North Carolina law applies, and disputes are handled in the courts of Wake County, North Carolina.
